Black Friday purchases

If you're lucky, you saw the whole Black Friday recap on Snapchat. I *thought* I downloaded that whole snapped video that I could share on my blog also, but apparently I only downloaded one 10 second video and not the entire recap. (Insert crying emoji here.) So, I have been agonizing about how to share my Black Friday purchases with you! Anyone can share stock photos with you - I love being able to share real life outfits with you, or at minimum, a flat lay that I've styled. There's no way I could capture real life styled outfits of every piece I purchased within one post! But, at the same time, I do think there is value in sharing my entire haul, stock photos or not, in case it does spark some interest. Since today is Cyber Monday, I figured I needed to recap everything for you today and not later in the week and risk you missing out on a good sale find!

Black Friday shopping list

This post is a shopping list of sorts for me. To be honest, I don't need anything right now, maybe for the rest of my life. Ha! But, I'm a shopaholic and not a quitter, after all! And Black Fridayweek is my favorite time of the year because no one judges you if you shop, much less shop at 6am in the morning! You just blend with all the other crazies! Hello Monday: Holiday Style

Happy Thanksgiving week! Now that the holidays are upon us, I've got all things sparkly on the brain! I've been wanting a pair of leggings like these for awhile but not all sequin leggings are created equal! I have this pair that are more like joggers, but I've been hunting for a true legging style. Express posted these leggings on their Snapchat before they were released, and I stalked their website (even more so than usual) until they were available! I'm glad I ordered them when I did because they're no longer available online and listed as "in store only." I'm sorry to tease you with them, but hopefully you can find them in store while you are Black Friday shopping. They are seriously amazing and I certainly plan to wear them to a holiday gathering or two.

Happy hump day! Today I'm sharing another look I wore in Myrtle Beach! The trip was really fast - we got in Friday evening in time for dinner, had all day Saturday there, then flew out Sunday afternoon. Somehow it still took me forever to pack 2.5 outfits, just as it always does. I decided to reach for some of my old favorites knowing they would all work together one way or another, but not necessarily planning full outfits as I packed. I decided the layers would be perfect for the plane, but still felt cute enough to play tourist in for my last few hours there.

Winding down

After all the dressing up I've had to do over the past couple of weeks, it was nice to just throw on some jeans and a sweater on Sunday with absolutely no plans but have a late breakfast with the husband. I definitely love getting dolled up. I love all the layers. I love all my heels. Despite all of that, sometimes the only thing I need is easy, comfort, and no frills. This outfit is all of the above.

This weekend was crazy busy, specifically Saturday! Ok, who am I kidding? The last two weeks have been a whirlwind of all the things, but I felt extra busy on Saturday. I decided I wanted to pay a visit to the new Charming Charlie that just opened - they were having a grand opening sale. Then I had back to back hair and lash appointments. I had to find time to take a couple of blog photos and flat lays. And then the blogger dinner and wrap party for fashion week that I recapped for you on Monday. So what does one wear when they are running around like a chicken with their head cut off? The easiest breeziest tunic and booties of course!

With so much travel the last couple of weeks, I was only able to squeeze in three Saint Louis Fashion week events - all were great for their own separate reasons. This particular event was last Friday at a local Chinese restaurant called Lulu's Seafood. I've been on a hunt for a good dim sum place here, so when I saw that in the invitation, I knew I had to make room for it (both on my calendar and in my belly, hehe.) It definitely did not disappoint - it reminded me of my favorite Chinese restaurant my parents always take me to in SoCal that is now closed.

Saturday was dinner and a wrap party for Saint Louis Fashion Week at Ballpark Village downtown. I've only been on a Cardinals game day before, so it was pretty fun to explore it from a night life point of view! I ended up getting sick and couldn't attend last year's wrap party - my last event was the Naturalizer event that you can read about here. Missing last year's party made this year's wrap event extra special!

We are right smack in the middle of Saint Louis Fashion Week here in the city! Somehow it is that time of year again. I feel like it has just been a couple of months since the runway shows last fall! I was bummed because the kickoff party was a couple of weeks ago when I was traveling for work, so this was my first official event I was able to attend - the Caleres Emerging Designer Competition at Union Station.

Buying lately

I wear plaid. A lot. It's a weakness of mine, and I acknowledge it! Last week when I was wandering around the Philly airport for two hours, I was excited to shop - I had forgotten they had shops there. Shops mean retail therapy and this exhausted traveler needed therapy! I definitely didn't feel like trying anything on while I was there, but I did pick up the top in today's outfit along with this adorable sweater.

Toronto: What I Wore

Last week, I recapped what I wore on my work trip to Providence and Boston, so I figured this week I would do the same for my Toronto trip I went on late last week. Packing for work trips is so hard for me. My struggles for this trip were: 1) I had never met anyone I was meeting, so I had no idea if they were casual or super dressy 2) I hate meeting new people wearing flat shoes, but I also knew I'd be doing a lot of walking so the shoes needed to be comfy. 3) The weather seemed to be cold, windy, and rainy. With that in mind, let's get started!
