Bonfire outfit

St. Louis blogger collaboration
Left to right: Annie, Jenna, Psyche, Jacqueline

I cannot remember the last time I made s'mores! I take that back. I think I made them sometime last winter, but I did it in the comfort of my living room in the fireplace. Making them using a bonfire is a totally different experience, especially when you're surrounded by four other bloggers with picturesque views!

The challenge with picking an outfit to wear for a bonfire is making sure that it's machine washable because you *will* smell like smoke. For days. So you need to be able to throw your clothes in the washer and be done with it. We weren't even out for that long, but I could still smell the smoke in my hair after two washes. Naturally it was worth it, but just something to think about if you're ever going to be around a campfire!

square marshmallows for s'mores

Jenna was able to find square shaped marshmallows, which is pretty genius. And I don't know if it's because I've been watching my diet pretty closely lately or what, but these were the most delicious s'mores I think I've ever eaten!

s'mores

Yep, my marshmallow caught fire and was charred pretty badly. It ended up going into the logs to die, and I roasted a new one that I could actually eat. Did I mention it was delicious? Ironically, the s'mores ended up being an appetizer for our dinner. Jenna and Annie had some chicken pitas prepared for us with a side of orzo salad. You really need to try the salad - we all asked for the recipe! (See it here.)

Jenna's mom made a comment about how we had all hair colors covered in our group! Ha! Good observation! We're a pretty diverse group with the common love of all things shopping and fashion. I had met Psyche and Jacqueline before thanks to local events, but this was my first time meeting Annie in person. We mutually follow each other on Instagram and Snapchat, so I've at least been able to stalk her in the interim!

Aww, I'm kind of getting nostalgic writing these posts. It was such a fun little blogging shoot! Hope you're enjoying the photos!
