St. Louis Zoo

This post will conclude the weekend fun series. Boo! It was so great though, so I really can't complain. We were able to fit in so much good stuff into a short amount of time. For our last adventure, we went to the St. Louis Zoo. I had only been once, and it was for a scavenger hunt at work when it was cold and rainy, so I didn't really get a chance to properly appreciate it. Admission to the zoo is FREE, which is a great perk, but it's honestly one of the best, if not the best, zoo I have been to regardless. And we could not have asked for more perfect weather.

The elephants were my favorite! One of them was doing tricks before we walked up, but the crowd was blocking our view, so we missed it! They were amazing though, and so up close!

Afterwards, we had lunch at the Boathouse. Again, the weather was amazing, which is probably why everyone had the same idea as us to eat there! We ended up waiting about 45 minutes for our table, but passed the time sipping on a little beer, enjoying the view and the sun. The food ended up being delicious as well, so definitely worth the wait.

We went to the airport straight from lunch, so that was the end of our festivities. The plan is for me to visit her in Myrtle Beach sometime this summer, so I have that to look forward to. It was fun documenting our journey here! Oh, but before I go, here are some details on my outfit.

JCrew earrings (gifted)
Old Navy gingham top
Forever 21 cuff (option)
American Eagle Chinos
Kate Spade Grant Park Starla crossbody (option)
JCrew "Deseree" sandals (option)

I don't own many pairs of pants that aren't skinny-legged fit. Since my office is pretty casual/ flexible, I definitely don't have the need for dress pants. However, I own several pairs of chinos from American Eagle. I love the relaxed fit and the buttery soft touch. In the spring and summer, my next favorite thing to wear other than dresses are chinos and flat sandals. The weather today started off in the 50s and was going to creep up into the upper 60s, low 70s. I didn't want to freeze again like we did on our walk to the arch, so I opted for a lightweight top and ivory chinos. My wonderful friend gifted me these earrings, which I definitely wanted to wear today, so I used the color as the inspiration for the rest of today's accessories. Nothing super special, but just right for today.
