Birthday recap!

I apologize in advance if this post ends up feeling a bit like a casserole filled with a bunch of leftovers! I just really wanted to recap my birthday from last week - the festivities as well as the gifts! Let's get started!

Me and the hubby in the Cardinals' dugout!

I mentioned in my birthday post from last week that the husband got us tickets in the St. Louis Busch Stadium Commissioner's Box for the game on my birthday against the Giants. It was SO MUCH FUN! Unfortunately, it rained off and on throughout the game, but nothing from which my poncho couldn't protect me. The rain also prevented batting practice from taking place prior to the game, so although we could physically walk out onto the field, it wasn't as cool as if the guys were actually out there hitting. They did have a photographer on site to take photos of us in the dugout - they ended up printing out a copy for us before the game even started. It was too cool to be down there!

I'm a dork when it comes to baseball, I just can't help it! The game itself was great even though we lost. But I ate A LOT and probably had a bit much wine, but hey, no one can say I didn't get our money's worth!

We went to the game straight from the office, so when we arrived at the house later that evening, I had a few gifts waiting for me, which were the perfect ending to my fun filled day.

(both gifted by Gina and Rachelle)

Gina and Rachelle were too sweet and bought me some Chanel polish - Vert Obscur, which is a perfect dark, dark green color. It's gorgeous and changes with the light. They also got me the Kendra Scott Rayne necklace in this maroon color, which I also love! I know they agonized over what color to get me in each, and in the end, they knocked both out of the park! (Like that baseball analogy?)

Kate Spade Licorice pumps (shop other colors HERE)

Not only did the husband get me the special baseball tickets and let me pick out these Rag and Bone booties for myself last weekend, he also bought me something that would arrive on my actual birthday. Yes, I know I'm spoiled, but I like to see it as him making good investments. Spoiling me on my birthday means that I should spoil him on his in return! Not that he's just not a sweet person, because he totally is! I already have the Licorice pumps in neon and in silver metallic, but this hot pink pair makes for the perfect trio of colors!!

Next up is this super soft moto satchel by Rebecca Minkoff that my sister bought for me! If you all remember - I was lusting after the Rebecca Minkoff moto hobo in that wine color from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. It was sold out by the time of my appointment, and I think that was fate stepping in because I think I love this black moto satchel even more! It's not the type of bag that holds its shape when you set it down, so if that bothers you, then I wouldn't recommend it. However, if you're a big fan of roomy bags that are extra soft to the touch and really comfortable on your arms and shoulders - then definitely get this bag!

And if all of that wasn't already enough, Jenna designed a brand new blog header for me! She gave me the most adorable hand sketch of a header design with a note saying that if I loved it, she would digitize it for me. Well, I loved it, and I can't wait for you to see the final product. Terribly excited to say the least!

Stuart Weitzman Lowland Boots (shop all colors HERE)

Is there anything on my list I didn't get? Well, I didn't formally add these boots to my list, but I definitely wouldn't have turned them down if someone tried to gift them to me! I've been craving a flat over the knee boot, and I love how low profile and non-chunky these Stuart Weitzman boots are! I've secretly had my eye on them since last season, so we'll see if I eventually pull the trigger on them before winter is upon us!

Thanks for sticking with me on this one! I'll be back tomorrow with my usual outfit posts, but I felt like I owed you a proper birthday recap, and that my gift givers deserved public recognition for their generosity! So far my new year is looking pretty good!

LOVE the Kendra Scott necklace - such a perfect piece and although I have a stone/tassel necklace - I think I should one day get the Rayne...it's a classic! Also adore the bag your sister got you - a black slouchy satchel is SUCH a good bag to have - especially for traveling. So glad you had a lovely birthday :-)
