Style Me Tactical

I am SO excited to bring Emily to you today!!! I want to be her when I grow up. She is equal parts edgy and sexy. I love how she makes boyfriend inspired pieces look tough but feminine. And she always has so much eye candy to look at in her outfits. Every last detail seems so well though out. I would gladly give up my entire collection of shoes and bags (and destroyed denim) in exchange for hers! I could go on and on and on, but why don't I just let her speak for herself! Hope you love her half as much as I do!

Hey More Pieces of Me readers, I'm Emily from Style Me Tactical filling in today while Carylee is on vacay (#jealous). Besides our shared love for shoes, Carylee & I also share a love for all things military/olive green. I think we might have a problem. I thought I had it bad for this color but I swear I want to buy everything she posts that's military green. She always styles her military green pieces perfectly with an unexpected bold color or print.

So in honor of our mutual admiration for this color, I had to share this look with one of my favorite vests from The Mothership aka Nordstrom. If you don't own a vest I suggest you run out a get one. They are so versatile and perfect for all year wear as they can be layered over short or long sleeve, dresses, worn with jeans, or in this case a skirt. But you don't need me to tell you how versatile it is, you follow Carylee afterall. You've seen it for yourselves. For me, a skirt is pretty big deal. I don't normally wear skirts as I'm a big t-shirt & jeans girl. Like live and die by a good pair of denim. However, it's always good to change things up.

Since I'm not much of a skirt a girl, I decided to pair this skirt with my Balenciaga moto boots to keep the look on the casual side but with a bit of an edge. While wearing skirts aren't exactly in my comfort zone pairing them with an ankle boot is right up my alley. The key to wearing items that you might not be inline your usual style limits is to pair them with pieces that are. So you still feel good about what you're wearing and staying true to your style aesthetic.
