Hope everyone had a great weekend celebrating all the moms out there! The days went really fast for us as usual. I kicked off Saturday with a yoga class, then quickly changed into my Cardinals gear to head downtown for the game. I promised the husband we would see Captain America this weekend, too, so we ended up doing that after the game. Before we knew it, it was bedtime! Sunday I was running around like crazy - working out, getting stuff in order for Mother's Day, then I ate my weight in food for the evening. But, alas, it's all consumed in the name of mom, right? So it makes it ok? Yes, yes of course.

You guys know that I love to layer. Layering vests over dresses is the best. Even though this dress already has pockets, you can never have too many places to hold things, right? And I just love how the vest adds something else to look at by breaking up the monotony of the stripes. Any one of my utility jackets would have worked just as well in place of the vest, but since the temps are actually warming up a bit, the vest adds another layer while still keeping me cool and comfy.
I have been craving wedge sandals lately! Luckily, I have quite a few pairs in my collection already, so I was happy to reach for some old favorites to pair with this dress. I don't know what it is, but I always love pairing the chunkiest of wedges with shorts and mini dresses. I feel taller and leggier with this combo.
This little baseball field is near our house, and there was no one in sight while we were taking our photos. While I would love to take proper blog photos on the Busch Stadium field one day, I figure this one will do for now. It's too bad I'm not a mommy because I felt like this outfit would be perfect for watching my kid's baseball game in the summer and running mom errands. That's how I picture motherhood anyway -- rainbows, unicorns, and platform wedges. Hey, don't burst my dream, ok?
