What I wore last week

Hello Monday! Hope everyone had a great weekend. We had a busy-ish Saturday. I took a Pilates class in the morning and made plans to teach Jenna afterwards and then grab some lunch at Peel. That evening, we were supposed to have trivia night, which I was looking forward to, but it got canceled because of icy conditions. (Though the ice didn't come until super late at night and we could have gone to trivia with no issues....) We improvised and met the group for dinner at 1818 Chophouse instead with cocktails after at Foundry and Big Daddy's. Sunday, my girl time of the month hit me like a bus and I spent the majority of the day sleeping as a result. UGH. So much for being productive! But that explains why you're getting this post on a Monday instead of a Friday as this will end up being my only post for the week unfortunately. Let's go ahead and get started!

(outfit details listed below)

I'm starting with Tuesday instead of Monday. Monday was a crazy whirlwind thanks to a late night from Super Bowl Sunday, then having to be at the office by 8am. I was rushing to get out the door and didn't bother taking a selfie. I wore this burgundy stripe cross-neck long-sleeved tee from CS Gems that you can see towards the end of this post here, but with regular blue denim and my black Chuck Taylors.

Tuesday
Sweater: Free People "Valencia" (other colors here) | Tank: Grace and Lace "perfect fit" | Leggings: Zella | Boots: Vince Camuto "Hollie"

In true Tuesday fashion, I'm dressed in something I can teach Pilates in with a quick change of shoes. I remember picking up this sweater on the rack during Nordstrom's anniversary sale and me not understanding what it was! Well, it has turned into one of my favorite sweaters, which is why I now own it in three colors. Whoops.

Wednesday
Earrings: Kendra Scott "Addie" | Jacket: Express "minus the leather double peplum jacket" | Scarf: Express | Top: Gap "stripe long sleeve modern boatneck" | Bottoms: American Eagle | Booties: Cole Haan

Wednesday, I had a day trip to Chicago. My flight was at 8:30am, which meant leaving the house by 6:30am. Eeeek. The good thing about day trips is not having to pack anything, but gosh it makes for a super long day. Even though we were headed to Chicago, I still opted for lighter layers because I always tend to be pretty hot while I travel, running around everywhere. And my instincts were good because I was perfectly comfy in this all day in terms of warmth. I don't normally throw all my hair up on only third day hair, but it was necessary this morning because it was so early!

Thursday
Jacket: Capulet (c/o Shopbop) (similar) | Tee: American Eagle | Necklace: Kendra Scott "Rayne" (gifted) | Jeans: American Eagle | Booties: Sam Edelman "Blake" (option)

I stole this neutral moto jacket + tee + jeans + leopard booties combo from Gina's post last week here. I love when my friends dress me! It's the best! And I don't know why, but my hair was exceptionally awesome this day. Sometimes my long sideswept bangs just don't lay right, but today they fell over my forehead so perfectly and the curls were so voluminous. It was such a good hair day!

Friday
Flannel: American Eagle (current colors here) | Tank: Grace and Lace Perfect Fit | Leggings: Spanx faux leather moto leggings | Booties: Matt Bernson "Brooklyn"

Flannel Friday once again! It was also National Pizza Day and I managed to throw together an impromptu pizza party at the office. 8 large pizzas for 25 people, it was fun! We can get super busy and focused at the office, so it's nice to pause for a moment and come together like that. It makes me happy. I had to capture a photo of our flannel Friday group!

Saturday
Sweater: Grace and LaceTank: Grace and Lace "perfect fit" | Bottoms: American Eagle | Boots: Vince Camuto "Hollie"

And this is what I ended up wearing on Saturday night for our dinner and cocktails outing. I wanted to be cozy, but still wanted it to be outfit-of-the-night appropriate, so showing some shoulder always helps me with that. These boots are super walkable and even though they are heeled, they don't bother me if I have to stand all night. I realize I wear them all the time in the winter - I have them in black also. They really are the perfect over-the-knee boot so definitely zero regrets getting them in two colors! Just sad that they're no longer available for you guys!

And that is all I have for you today, and this week! Sorry my schedule didn't work out but life happens and I can't stress about it!! Have a great week!
