The floral drop-waist dress

I love, love, love easy dresses like this! The print is so much fun, and it's super easy to throw on without thought. The drop-waist ruffle hem is flirty, and since the print speaks for itself, it really doesn't need much accessorizing! I can see myself turning to this as a foolproof piece for many seasons to come. And with the under $50 price point, you truly can't beat that!

Outfit details--- Sunnies: Gucci | Dress: Halogen | Bag: Kate Spade (option) | Shoes: Sam Edelman "Helen" ---

I decided to do the studded white pumps with it, because I love pairing sassy studs with sweet florals. And even though this creates a red, white, and blue palette, I don't feel  costume-y or super patriotic. Each piece complements the other quite nicely!

These heels are definitely my favorite Nordstrom Anniversary Sale purchase this year. I have a pair of white pumps that I have worn to DEATH! They've stretched out a bit though and started slipping off my heels when I walked, which is very frustrating, not to mention dangerous! I loved the curved silhouette of this shoe, the stud details, and the ankle strap to keep these on my feet even if they do stretch out over time! They're just what you would expect from Sam Edelman in terms of quality. Seriously. They are SO good and run true to size.

The husband kept going on and on about how much he liked this dress on me, which is kind of funny. I mean. It's a great dress, but just interesting to see which pieces he ends up liking more than others.

Left: in Regular XS | Right: in Petite XS

I tried this dress on in store and really loved the print and fit a lot. I just didn't like the length. I prefer my knees to show when I'm in dresses because I feel like it helps elongate my silhouette. I didn't realize it came in petite sizes until I was putting together my haul post later that night. I ordered it in a small petite since I usually size up in petite sizes, but the small still felt pretty voluminous. I was afraid to size down to an XS petite and it become too narrow in the shoulders. The XS petite fits perfect though - the length is more flattering one me! I do agree with the reviews - it definitely runs big and you should size down 1-2 sizes!

That's all I have for you today! Short and sweet, but I have other good things planned for the remainder of the week! Stay tuned!
