Random things I'm wanting

You are about to go on a very random ride of things I've been wanting to buy lately. I haven't bought these items because admittedly I'm living off a partial salary for an indefinite amount of time and none of these items are "must have" purchases. But I've been filing them away as I see them and I figured I would go ahead and compile everything into a post. I'm also putting this together at the request of the husband because he wanted birthday gift options since August is my birthday month, so this serves as dual purposes. Let's get started.

I have been buying swimsuits a lot this year, which is pretty ridiculous considering the only place I will be wearing them is in my driveway. Sigh. But, if money were no object, I've been on the hunt for the perfect black one-piece. Rachelle turned me onto this brand and if money were no object, I'd be adding this to my cart!

One thing I've been working on during quarantine is my headstand. I haven't practiced in a few weeks actually, and need to get back on that. This popped up in my Facebook ads and I like the way it removes all weight from your head, but still allows me to get used to the feeling of being upside down. I also love all the other exercises you can do with this and think it would be a great addition to my home studio.

Working from home during a pandemic means that a new handbag is probably the least useful purchase ever. But I really like this one. When I do run out, it's for a quick errand or to go teach and I'm not needing to carry much more than just the essentials. I've always loved the Hobo brand and plain black crossbody is one thing I lack in my crossbody collection.

All birds Sneakers

I've been doing virtual workouts with my personal trainer through Zoom 3 days a week, and I've been working out barefoot, which I really love to be honest. But I do still go to the studio to teach 3 days a week too, so the rare time that I am in shoes to leave the house anymore, it's usually in sneakers. Allbirds keeps coming up in my Instagram ads and they just look so super comfy. They remind me of the husband's Yeezys except, well, they aren't Yeezys with that price tag. I wouldn't mind trying these.

Pilates Magic Circle

The magic circle and these weighted bars go together since they're both Pilates accessories. I don't teach using the Magic Circle a lot, and I feel like I would have my clients use it more if I myself used it more. It's a good prop to use after all! The weighted bars are also very helpful. I do teach using these a lot, but I don't have one of my own at home.

Adjustable dumbbells

The one thing I miss about going to the gym is not having heavier weights. I love the idea of adjustable dumbbells since they don't take up a ton of space. Right now I have 2 pounds, 5 pounds, and 10 pounds, so this would be very great to have and something the husband could benefit from as well. I'm not tied to this particular brand, but they happen to be available. They've been hard to find because they sell out quickly.

I have 2 pairs of the 4" Align shorts and I wear them often. I love them. They are so incredibly soft and lightweight, and perfect for doing outdoor workouts. I've been wanting to try the 6" inseam because the 4" do have a tendency to ride up sometimes, and I feel the longer length may help them stay put a bit. Either way, I love anything Align honestly.

I want more pants that are casual, but not leggings or jeans. Specifically pairs I can wear at home, but them not being pajama pants. (I'd like to be able to wear them out of the house as well.) I have 3 pairs of joggers right now - a light grey pair, a navy pair, and an olive pair. I do have a black pair also, but they feel dressier because of the material. I just want a good ole casual pair of black joggers, and I like that these have a shorter length for my short self. Lots of joggers out there puddle around my ankle, and I hate that.

During quarantine, the husband and I would cut up some meat and cheese and randomly sit on the driveway and sip cocktails. I don't have great serveware when it comes to things like this and I loved that this basically comes with everything I would need.

It makes me laugh to even put this on my list, but I've been wanting a knee pillow. I do sleep with a pillow between my legs right now, but what's annoying is in the middle of the night when I want to flip over to the other side, I almost have to physically sit up to flip the pillow with me, or pull my legs out of the pillow to reset myself on the other side. I love that this is small, with a strap, that will flip with me when I roll over. It's genius!

And last but not least, fresh flowers. I've gotten several bouquets over quarantine from this local shop called Petaled Pail and I'm in love with them. They have a subscription service and I wouldn't mind getting a bouquet regularly! They really do brighten up my mood. Right now their bouquets last me about 2+ weeks, so a once a month subscription would be perfect!

How's that for a random list! Ha! A lot of these things show up in my social media ads, so clearly their analogs are spot on with my taste!
