Kendra Scott launch event: Spring Collection 2016

"Kaplan" statement necklace

Last Wednesday, I had the pleasure of attending a launch event for the Kendra Scott spring collection. I always get really excited to go to these events because the Kendra Scott gals are always so much fun, and HELLO, so much eye candy in the form of jewelry! This collection certainly made me more excited for warmer temps and cooler colors!

"Carey" and "Carinne" earrings

I love how different this collection really is from the winter collection. I feel like these styles are more of the traditional Kendra Scott aesthetic as compared to some of the more edgier collections of past seasons. But the color palette is so fresh and airy, it's hard not to gravitate towards all these pieces! Don't even get me started on the suspended pearl!

"Harlow" necklace in Amethyst

I have the Harlow in a brown goldstone, which reads very fall to me. This amethyst is so playful and springy - it's definitely on my wish list.

"Camelia" earrings in Aqua Kyocera Opal

The stones were all so interesting! They reflected light and changed colors differently depending on how you were looking at them. Everything just had so much depth.

"Rhyan" necklace in suspended black pearl and
"Carole" necklace in Lapis

I love that they added the Rhyan and the Carole styles to this collection. They are perfect for layering. One of the associates made a good point - that the Rhyan is very reminiscent of the Harlow, except you can actually layer with the Rhyan. I love that! You know I'm a fan of layering my necklaces!

I arrived at the store pretty close to the start time when traffic was still pretty slow in and out of the store. The Kendra Scott girls asked if I could take a photo of them to send to corporate, and I couldn't resist taking one on my camera as well. Everyone that I have met with the company is extremely friendly, fun, stylish, personable - it just makes going to these events less intimidating and a lot more worthwhile! And yes, it's hard not to drool over all of their bling. Seriously! I found out that they are no longer naming their collections like that have done in the past (i.e. Mystic Bazaar, Mirror Mirror.) This one is simply Spring 2016, and they launch new collections every 12 weeks! That's so fast! #notcomplaining

So, what did I wear to this shindig? I went for comfort. For the sake of full disclosure, I was THISCLOSE to not even going. I had been fighting a migraine all morning. I had it at 7 when I woke up, and after taking some meds every couple hours, nothing was helping. I was finally able to fall asleep around 1pm, and then I woke up at 3pm to decide whether or not I felt well enough to go. I was still a bit unsure, but once I was up and getting ready, I started to come back to life. That said, I went for easy, and easy usually means leggings. I hadn't worn these herringbone leggings yet, so they were perfect for this occasion!

OK, so most importantly, what did I come home with?! Well, they gifted us a little surprise for attending the event. We didn't all get the same thing, so I was sure to take a peek at my goodies before I shopped so I knew what metal with which I needed to coordinate. I was sooo happy to se the Charlotte necklace in my bag. It was definitely one of my favorites, so I picked up the Gavin bracelet and Lucia rings in similar metals to match.

Whew! That was a lengthy post - thanks for hanging in there with me, I just really wanted to share some of my favorites from the collection. You truly cannot go wrong though!! What do you have your eye on?
