Manic Monday: The perfect sandal

Sunnies: Gucci | Earrings: Express (option) | Jacket: NY&Co (love this option) | Necklace: Stella and Dot | Tee: JCrew Factory | Bag: Foley + Corinna | Bracelets: Express (option), Stella and Dot | Pants: Banana Republic | Sandals: Sam Edelman

This is an unusually happy Monday for me because I just LOVE springing forward! Even though I lose an hour of sleep, it is just the best time of the year because that means more daylight! On top of all this, I'm just getting back from a long weekend in Florida watching Cardinals baseball spring training. Not only do I feel refreshed from work (since I actually turned off my work email on my phone), but I had a great shopping day while I was down there. Be sure to tune in later this week for my first ever dressing room photos and review post!

It was great seeing sunshine and palm trees, feeling heat and humidity! I squeezed in a pedicure right before we left for the airport because I had every intention of wearing open toed shoes while we were there! These Sam Edelman wedge sandals were perfect! I love how they basically go with anything and everything - they were the one sandal I brought with me on the trip for this reason.

1 - Dress: Express (old) | Necklace: Stella and Dot
2 - Jacket: Express (old) | Tee: from Hard Rock Cozumel | Skirt: Express
3 - Top: JCrew Factory | Vest: JCrew Factory | Jeans: Express | Bag: Marc by Marc Jacobs
4 - Jacket: Express (old) | Scarf: Express | Top: Splendid | Jeans: Delias

I wore them shopping and at the airport to and from Florida - that should tell you how comfortable they are! Since they looked a little narrow in the stock photo, I sized up from a 6 to a 6.5 because my foot is a little on the wide side. The shoe itself runs a little long in the footbed, so I was worried it would look too big on me. Once I've been walking in them though, they're fine since my foot naturally falls forward to fill the gap from my toes to the front edge of the shoe.

We are actually going to hit SEVENTY degrees today! Can you believe it? I couldn't pass up the chance to wear the sandals again today, especially since they're calling for snow again on Wednesday. But let's not talk about that, right now!

Be sure you visit Gina and Skye today also, because they'll show you how they've chosen to style these sandals, too! Versatile, I'm telling you!

    1. Ha! I learned the sizing bit when I was trying to tell everyone how perfect the JCF chambray was.
And I'm glad you like my outfits. Lots going on but it's amazing how much the sandals honestly just disappear. It's the perfect neutral!

  5. I love love how you styled the wedge with all the different prints. Man do you really know how to mix and match! Yesterday I looked in my closet and thought, "how would Carylee wear this?" I buy so many things, never wear them, because I just go right back to my basics unless I'm heading out to dinner, then I go glam...NOT your glam, but I sure could use your help. LOTS OF IT!

Have a lovely day mon chérie

  7. So jealous you got to be in the warm sunshine!! I guess I can't really complain though, because like you, we are having a spring warm up for a few days here before the next snow. Loving all your outfits from your trip! Totally in love with the sandal!!!! I'm pretty sure I saw the same pair at Nordstrom Rack this weekend too (the price was the same).

  11. So nice to see warmer weather outfits; where in Florida did you go?
.... I was talking to my boss this morning and I came up with the perfect solution for this "daylight savings" we should go back one hour so we wake up and the sun is already out (hate waking up when it's dark) and since Americans hate #13 so much, we just get rid of 1 o'clock, the day jumps from 12:59 to 2 and it will still be bright and sunny when we get out of work, plus we'll have one less hour of work... sounds perfect? right?

  18. These sandals are ADORABLE! I always have trouble in the summer between wanting something stylish but also something comfortable. These look like they fit the bill! I'm also SUPER jealous of your FL trip. We hit 55 degrees today which felt like summer after this awful winter, but I'd take ACTUAL summer weather any day!
