Rachelle made me shop, yet again. It was last Tuesday morning and I actually woke up before 6am, so I decided to read through some blogs before getting out of bed. It was still dark in the room and everything! Rachelle included this dress in her Splurge or Save post and I was immediately intrigued. I love a good white dress, even though in reality, I only have one in my closet. The price was reasonable, so it was definitely worth the try. In the process, I also ordered this dress, which shipped in a separate package, so I'll have to tell you how that works out later! I had to laugh though because I spent money before 6:30am and I hadn't even gotten out of bed yet. How did we survive before the internet?!
I love the dress. I absolutely love it. I can't help but feeling feminine and pretty in it. I am wearing a small and it fits perfectly. As you can see, it's definitely more maxi length on my 5'-2" self than it is midi length. I had intended on just trimming it myself, but after trying it on, I didn't mind the longer length after all. And Rachelle made the good point that I could cut it for next year so that it will give me a whole new dress for a new season! I may just have to do that!
Speaking of Rachelle, I bought these sandals in Florida last year the weekend that I got to meet up with her and the other Florida girlies. These have proven to be a good workhorse in my shoe collection. I reach for them whenever I need a "barely there" shoe, like for this outfit for example, where I really just want my feet to disappear with nothing too chunky or heavy to contradict the light and airy aesthetic of the dress. I think I need the sandals in a second color, but I can't make up my mind on what to get next!
This dress will definitely be coming with me next month for the rewardStyle conference, but I didn't want to wait that long to photograph it for you just in case it sells out from now until then! Hopefully there will be a few other warm other occasions for which I can wear it because it makes me really happy! It also makes me wish I had a vacation planned!! Insert sad face here.
The clutch I'm wearing with this outfit is unfortunately long gone, but I've linked to other great options. I'm a firm believer in maintaining a nice collection of pretty little clutches because it's such an easy way to jazz up a look. There are so many beautiful handmade-looking options out there for under $50, so there's no excuse to not own one. Or three. :)
Have a great week and thanks for linking up!
