Random roundup

Super happy that is Friday, you have no idea! I'm looking forward to sleeping in, getting some workouts completed, a fresh hair cut, and a belated birthday lunch with Jenna! We also have a car cruise we are doing on Sunday which is always fun and pretty this time of year! Here are some outfits I've worn lately! I am only linking to the items that are still available. Let's get started!

Zara floral dress and lace up suede pumps
Earrings: Nickel and SuedeDress: Zara (option) | Shoes: Vince Camuto

I wish I hadn't gotten this dress on clearance because you guys need it. It's so effortless to throw on and I always feel extra cute when I wear it. I've worn this very combo with this dress + these lace up heels before (in May to be exact!), and I decided to wear it the same way again. It's honestly pretty rare for me to wear the EXACT same outfit (including shoes) again, so you know this was a fave of mine.

Chambray and black pants and neutral booties outfit
Chambray: Caslon | Necklace: Paperdolls (c/o) | Cami: Express "Barcelona"Bottoms: American EagleBooties: Joe's (option)

Chambray + white cami + black skinnies + neutral booties = such a basic outfit. Not that basic is necessarily wrong because it's such an easy foolproof combo, why try and reinvent perfection, right? I remember waking up this morning thinking that I needed something super easy and I knew this would work.

Cold shoulder sweater and booties outfit
Sweater: Express | Bottoms: American Eagle (other washes here) | Shoes: Vince Camuto "Fileana"

This sweater sold out pretty quickly after I ordered it, so I'm sorry for teasing you with it. The fit is pretty great though, and it's perfect for transitional weather because it's pretty lightweight. The ruffles and the cold shoulder just get me!! Since I hadn't worn it to work yet, I decided to last week!

Plaid and leopard outfit
Scarf: Express | Tee: Express V Neck Skimming TeeBottoms: American Eagle | Booties: Sam Edelman "Blake" (exact but limited sizes here, option)

I wore a super similar outfit combo three years ago here. Yes, different top, different scarf, and different booties, but it's undeniably the same outfit formula regardless. This is another one of those combos that has been one of my long time faves which is why I had to recreate it, down to the hairstyle!

How to wear olive pants
Olive skinnies remix: Mine are American Eagle sold out, but similar pair here
Outfit #1: With blush top (American Eagle) and Snakeskin print heels (Vince Camuto)
Outfit #2: With striped top (Fashion Lane Truck) and Grey Chuck Taylors (Converse)
Outfit #3: With floral tank (Grace and Lace) and neutral peep toe booties (Joe's)

And I will close this post with a little remix for you because I realized I've worn my olive skinnies 3 times in the last couple of weeks. It's definitely my most worn pant in my closet next to my regular colored denim. I've previously shared 9 other ways I've worn my olive skinnies in this post here, and I'm quite positive I could base my whole blog around olive skinnies! Such a staple of mine. While my tops and two of the three pairs of shoes are no longer available, you hopefully get the idea that you can wear all the things with olive colored bottoms.

And that's all I have for you this week! Thanks for following along and being patient with me and my sporadic schedule! Have a great weekend!

  2. I always look forward to your Friday posts and you did not disappoint! Lots of great outfit formulas that are easy to re-create with the same or similar items! I agree with Rachelle - I've missed having you around!

  3. I love the pic a the end showing the 3 ways you've worn your olive skinnies! I used to have a pair of olive jeans but they got baggy at the knees which I hated so I donated them and I really miss them - need to get a replacement, the way you wear yours is so inspiring! :)

I hope that you are having a lovely weekend! We have the sun back again after a pretty rainy week which is nice! :)
