Red, grey, and navy outfit

Welcome back to another week! Hope your weekends were relaxing and/or productive. Mine was a little bit of both. I spent Saturday running errands and working at the office for a few hours. Sunday was all about blogging, much like it usually is, though it didn't take me as long to finish like it normally does. I feel like I've been buying all the things lately, which is helpful for blog content but not helpful for my bank account! Anyhoo, let's get started with today's outfit!

Outfit details--- Sunnies: Quay "High Key" Earrings: Kendra Scott "Sophee" | Navy Saddle Bag: Rebecca Minkoff "Astor" (budget option, budget option) | Top: American Eagle Grey Bottoms: American Eagle (options here and here) | Grey Espadrilles: STEVEN by Steve Madden (options here and here)  ---

We had a couple of days of marvelous spring temps last week, but it turned back to grey, gloomy, and cold for the weekend. Of course. I'm definitely over all things winter, so I reached for this top which is one of my recent purchases. When I bought it, I pictured wearing it with distressed denim shorts. Shorts certainly was not an option this weekend, so I did the grey skinnies + matching espadrilles instead. Here's a fun fact - my high school colors were red and grey, so I honestly don't usually wear these two colors together, but it didn't bother me at all with this outfit.

The top is so interesting on its own, so I let it speak for itself and went pretty simple with my jewelry. Funny story about these earrings - I lost them at some point over the last year and I kept holding out on re-purchasing them hoping that they would be found. I finally caved and bought a replacement pair, and I really forgot how much I missed them!

I almost went matchy-matchy with my bag by choosing a red or a grey bag, but then I saw this navy bag hanging and was pleasantly surprised by how well it complemented the colors in my outfit. I don't use this bag enough, so it was nice to give it some more air time!

Short and sweet today! Hope you all have a great week!

  6. Oh I love that top! The color is so pretty and it is perfect with gray. I am so over the winter, too. And here I sit with my kids on a two hour delay from school because of an ice storm. Where in the world is Spring?! Have a great week!

  7. Such pretty details on that top! And the red and grey compliment each other very nicely. The navy bag was a great choice, too! Such a cute bag it's a shame not to use it as much as possible.

  12. I love that color combo. AE has some of the cutest tops from time to time. I really should break down and try on their jeans...I think I've just never done it because I would buy stuff for my kids there when they were teens. I guess I need to get over that. Super cute Carylee!!!
