Happy birthday to me! It would be even happier if it didn't land on a Monday, but that's ok, I shall push through! We celebrated this weekend, and it was lots of yummy fun. The husband had a lot to live up to if you remember my amazing birthday last year (here and here.) How do we top that?
First, I had to decide what to wear. I have this sequin dress that has been hanging in my closet waiting for a special occasion, and figured my birthday is a pretty dang good occasion But when I put it on, I realized I would not be able to eat anything. Ok, then. Plan B. I phoned a friend who said I should pick my favorite shoes and build from there. Done and done! I thought these Loubie booties would be perfect and I definitely wanted to wear (faux) leather leggings of some sort. I really wanted sequins, so I reached for this top, but boooo, the length isn't legging friendly. But wait! Remember this tunic? Well, a week or so ago, I went ahead and ordered it in black because I realized I may just need it one day. Well, today was the day. Basically these tunics make any top legging friendly.
Necklace: Chanel | Bag: Chanel (budget option) | Top: JCrew Factory (option, option, option) | Lace Tunic: Express | Watch: La Mer (option) | Leggings: Two by Vince Camuto | Shoes: Christian Louboutin (fun snakeskin option, peep toe option)
I grabbed all my favorite accessories - you know my most prized Chanel has to be present for these festivities! We ended up going downtown to try a new-to-us sushi place. I knew I wanted sushi, but really wanted to try a new place. This was perfect, and we were early enough to beat the crowd.

Yeah, we usually go all out when we are celebrating in terms of caloric intake. But, we didn't do dessert there, we went to a chocolate bar for that. But first, I made him do a blog pose of his own. He said he wore his Fryes just for me so why not photo document them?
Yeah, our desserts basically rocked my socks. He had a milk chocolate martini, and I had a Nutella martini. And then to eat, he got a banana bread split and mine was a blondie. Basically, I will always love a blondie whenever I see it on the menu. It's my go to dessert all the freaking time. And you know why? Because it's so amazing!
I honestly didn't think he had gotten me anything for a present. I thought that we would hit up the mall or something before dinner so I could pick something out. But then he ended up letting the cat out of the bag and said that he did, in fact, get me something but he wasn't going to give it to me for a few days. A few *days*? Say WHAT? How can you dangle this info in front of me and not give it to me? He ended up handing me an envelope at dinner. Inside was two green seat tickets to a Cardinals game at the end of the month! Green seats are all inclusive, and hella close - we'll be five rows off the field just behind home plate. I've been wanting to experience a game from this view since I became a super fan. Yay!! So you can expect future photos from that game!
Hopefully my actual birthday goes just as wonderfully as the weekend did!
