Lilly hangover

If your Instagram feed is anything like mine, it's been saturated with Lilly Pulitzer for Target stuff since the wee hours on Sunday about a week and a half ago. So much so that it gave me a bit of a Lilly hangover and almost ruined any interest I had in the collaboration. But, when Di sent out a public service announcement that she was going to Target and solicited requests from fellow shopaholics on anything we may want, I texted her that I'd be happy with any of the pom pom scarves.

Via Instagram here

Luckily, she was able to get her hands one some! Yippee! Not only do I love them as scarves, but I loved the idea of wearing them as a cover up over a bathing suit with different tying methods. Now, I just need a beach vacation… In the meantime, I figured I could add some playfulness to this outfit by simply tying it to my bag.

Sunnies: Vince Camuto | Necklace: Express (option) | Bag: Kate Spade (option) | Scarf: Lilly Pulitzer for Target (option, option) | Top: Express (similar in Cayman blue or Fresh mint) | Bracelet: Stella and Dot, CS Gems | Skirt: LOFT | Shoes: Kate Spade

Speaking of hangover… have you guys tried Strawberitas? I tried it for the first time a couple of weekends ago before the baseball game. I'm not really a huge beer drinker, to be honest. I'm fine having one or two, but it's definitely not my drink of choice for an entire night. And not that this is REALLY beer, but it's technically a Bud Light product, which is why I mention it. But anyway, I am kind of really obsessed with them and now have a 12 pack sitting in my refrigerator. So, if you haven't tried them, it comes Carylee certified!

  5. Interesting! How beer-ish is the Strawberita? I do not drink beer AT ALL...so it would need to taste more like a Shirley Temple. LOL Yay for your shopping scouts and love the ultra feminine look today!

  6. Beautiful skirt!! I don't think there was a Lilly Pulitzer craze here in CO...or maybe I personally wasn't invested in it. I was telling Gina I didn't even see the section where they had any of it displayed - so either it was a mega hit here and gone, or no one cared so it was hiding somewhere insignificant. Anyway, love the idea of tying the fun scarf to the bag...I tend to be one that feels I have to have *some* pattern somewhere in every outfit, so that's a great alternative! :-)

  9. Omg I adore this spring look! I saw this skirt online at LOFT and it looks perfect on you. I've actually had the lime-arita version but not the strawberry flavor. I need to pick some up for my next trip to the beach!

  10. I didn't land my hands on any items on this collaboration, I just refused to part take in the madness. These scarves are very fun and glad IG friends helped you out!

  11. I'm so sad that I got nothing from the Lilly chaos. I did get a real Lilly dress for my birthday that I can't wait to wear! I love your lace skirt and pretty top!

  12. I didn't try to go to Target because I knew it would be crazy. All I really wanted from the collection was one of the scarves. I'll just admire yours! They are both so cute!!

  15. Jealous you got your hands on a scarf, the whole lilly for target scenario stressed me out! Your outfit is perfect for a spring work day, love mint and white together!

  18. I really ended up liking the Strawberita flavor too! I tried them for the first time last summer. My sister brought a bunch of different flavors but that one was my favorite. Both of those scarves in the picture are really cute but I definitely know what you mean about a lily hangover. It's been EVERYWHERE!
