If you've been following along on Snapchat or Instagram, then you know that last Monday was an EPIC mail haul day! I may or may not have had three new pairs of shoes waiting for me on my doorstep when I got home from work. But they weren't just any pairs of shoes. They are the mothers of all shoes! Today I thought I would start with these Rockstuds. I have them in a nude patent and navy leather, but I had been wanting them in a pop of color, too. When I stumbled across these on crazy sale (thanks to Rachelle) I got the husband to agree to calling these my birthday present (2 months early) because the price was just too good to pass up for Valentinos.
Another recent purchase is this portofino. You see, blogging makes me shop. When I was putting together this post a couple of weeks ago about how printed portofinos are the easiest thing to pack for a trip, I ended up ordering two new prints. But, in my defense it had been a really long time since I had bought a portofino and with buy 1 get 1 half off, you really can't just buy one! I really loved the way this top paired with the new heels! A match made in heaven if you ask me!
I find that these shoes are true to size. I thought that my patent leather pair would be the tightest fitting since patent leather in and of itself doesn't have much give to it. To my surprise, these are probably the most snug fitting of the three pairs. Not sure if that has anything to do with the fact that this particular pair shipped from a boutique in London and the other two were bought here from Nordstrom? Or maybe it's the shoe material? I don't know. Regardless, while these do fit a little smaller than my other pairs, it's such a slight difference. Nothing substantial enough for me to size up or anything. Overall they are really comfy as far as heels are concerned and they are just absolutely breathtaking. Sigh.
Hope everyone enjoyed the Father's Day weekend! I wish we were closer to my family so I could see my dad! But, we did end up going to the in laws for food and drinks, so at least I got a taste of family time anyway! I'm hoping for a slightly uneventful week, though I do have a quick day trip to Chicago on Wednesday for work! I really don't know how June is already 3/4 through!!! Anyway - have a great week!!!
