Winterizing a summer dress

I don't know about you guys, but I love having multipurpose clothing! Hard to believe, I know, considering how much crap stuff I own. I've said it a few times now about how I love dresses in the winter. I find dresses can be even more fun to play with in the winter than the summer because the layering possibilities are endless. So, I chose this little satin number that I got from Francesca's a couple years ago, and decided to build from here.

Dress: Francesca's (Other options to winterize herehere, herehere) | Cardigan: H&M | Scarf: Love this chunky knit | Bracelet: Cara (option) | Belt: Target (option) | Tights: DKNY (option) | Booties: Sam Edelman | Sunnies: Gucci

I pulled another Resolution #4 today by wearing these booties. I already had them in the putty color (last seen here, also seen here.) I love them so much, and when I saw they came in this wine color AND they were on sale, I just couldn't resist. But it's been a few weeks and I hadn't worn them yet, so I made sure to use today as my opportunity with matching tights and lots of layers!

  4. You definitely made that dress perfect for winter! I don't like the cold aspect of winter, but I do like that I feel like I have way more clothing options - layers are so much fun! I love the booties with the matching tights - such a fun look!

    1. Thanks, Lee! There are certain colors I have no problem with - wine, purple, and cobalt. I can't really jump into anything yellow or hot pink just yet. Thanks for reading!

  10. Tights and boots are definitely necessary if you want to tromp around in the snow in a dress! Do it all the time =]
