Monochromatic

Gina and I have noticed that monochromatic looks seem to be a thing right now on Instagram. I decided to jump on this bandwagon when I tried to think of how I wanted to style this cami, previously seen on Gina, herself, here. While I do like the way this came out, I feel compelled to switch out my bottoms to my plum colored skinnies. To experiment with this theory - I put together this outfit here, which is what I wore in real life on Monday. Grey and wine go great together! But, let's focus on being monochromatic for the day, shall we?

Sunnies: Tom Ford | Necklace: Target | Bag: Kate Spade (budget option) | Jacket: Express (option) | Tank: ExpressBottoms: Express | Boots: Naturalizer (option)

This is the third time I'm wearing Naturalizer boots on the blog this week. It is coincidental, not planned! I almost didn't wear these boots today just to try and mix brands up a bit, but at the end of the day, these really were the best boot choice for this outfit. Sooo, I guess what I'm saying is. Sorry, I'm not sorry. :)

  3. hahaha, yes, monochrome looks (or should we say "monochrome") are quite a thing on IG, and you nailed this one. I hope you love that tank as much as I do. :) And now I find myself really wanting a pair of mid-calf (low calf? IDK) boots like that so I don't have to fuss over whether my jeans are cuffed properly.

    1. Yeah I admit I wasn't a fan of mid calf boots, but these are great with skinny jeans tucked into them. I'm really surprised how much I like this!
      And thank you!

  4. Loving this look!!! I already recognize the tank top from express, I'm also eyeing that. The boots are so darn cute as well. I'm think I need a gray boot now....decisions...decisions.

  10. I like it!! Although it's monochromatic, you've added plenty of texture and prints for visual interest!! I've had a hankering to give this a go lately, although I thought I start with something completely out of the box - wait for it - all black! Risky, I know...hahaha!!! :-)
