Blushes and nudes

Spring always has me obsessed with blushes and nudes and I just absolutely love pairing them together. This outfit has a little bit of everything that I am obsessed with at the moment. The colors, my favorite knot tee, distressed bottoms - it's a recipe for outfit success.

I've had this blazer forever and at one point, I almost purged it. But it's the one piece in my wardrobe that always surprises me when I put it on and I realize how much of a staple it truly is. Especially when finishing out an outfit like this!

Sunnies: Vince Camuto | Blazer: Express (optionoption) | Necklace: Express (option) | Bag: 3.1 Phillip Lim | Top: Express | Bracelet: Cara (option) | Bottoms: American Eagle (option) | Heels: Louise et Cie

I feel like I just can't get back into the swing of things as it relates to the blog! Ever since I finished the capsule challenge, I've been excited to settle back into normalcy. Take my photos on the weekend, share my new purchases with you, etc. But between travel, and busy weekends, and travel, and now trying to fight this dumb cold, I just can't quite get back on the horse.

I'm also still in the transition period at work. Everyone keeps asking me how I'm liking my new job, but I'm maybe only dedicating 30% of my time to it, if that. Just when I thought I was almost into it, we lost someone outside of our department, but related to my old position. Since he gave the standard two weeks notice, it wasn't enough time to hire and train a new person so all of his responsibilities were absorbed by my team, which has handcuffed me a bit to my "old" job.

So, just as the weather is in between seasons right now, I'm in this weird in between phase in all areas of life right now!

  3. Aw, I feel kind of frustrated for you! I hate those in-between stages in life, it makes me feel mentally disjointed and like I don't belong anywhere. Your outfit is far from disjointed though. So soft, pretty and perfectly suited for spring!

  9. You look great! I hope you get to transition completely off your old job soon -- nothing more frustrating than being mentally done with a job but having to stay on it anyways!

  11. Love this whole look, so perfect for spring! I'm not normally a pink kind of person but I've been seeing blush everywhere lately and I love all of the looks. I hope things work themself out at your job. My husband is sort of stuff in an "in-between" limbo at his job too. He was supposed to start his new position on the 1st but now they have him filling in at his old position until the new guy is trained.

    1. I love American Eagle pants. I don't know why but they've always just fit me really well. I wear my true size here. If you're in between sizes, I may size up!

      I have a 28" waist and 34/36 hips? I am wearing a 6 short. (I'm 5'-2")

      Hope that helps!!

  28. Love the colors in your outfit...but for some reason, I'm more scared to wear peach/blush bottoms than I am for white denim...I guess I think that white denim can always be bleached if it gets dirty :-P
