Buying lately

I don't feel like I have done one of these buying lately posts in quite some time, so I figured I should probably catch you guys up a little. These are things that I have bought but haven't officially worn on the blog yet. I do like to style things as soon as I receive them as a reminder to myself that I need to wear them. So when I'm in a "what do I wear" slump, I can just sift through my flat lays and it helps jog some ideas! Each of the outfits below features one recent purchase, so let's get started!

This Scarf: Nordstrom (similar here, shop other fringe scarves HERE)
Top: BP. | Bottoms: Express | Booties: Vince Camuto (option, drool worthy options HERE)

I'm a huge scarf junkie, you guys know that! I felt like I needed to buy a few new scarves for the season just to stay a little bit relevant! In addition to the two seen in the posts here and here, I ordered the fringe style above, which apparently is already sold out, but I've linked to a similar option.

This Hoodie: Express
Bottoms: Express | Shoes: Converse

I already have this hoodie in olive green (seen here) and it really is just a long sleeved tee shirt with a hood. It's ridiculously comfortable and the perfect weight right now when it's not quite in the freezing temps. I love it for lounging or casual wear. I ordered my true size.

This Hoodie: Mindy Mae's Market (exact HERE)
Bag: Rebecca Minkoff (shop black Rebecca Minkoff bags HERE) | Leggings: Express (option) | Shoes: Converse

I've got the holidays on the brain, I'm not going to lie. When I saw this hoodie in Mindy Mae's Market's Instagram feed, I couldn't stop thinking of it. It's holiday ready, and I can see myself eating Christmas cookies in it! I have one of their double hooded sweatshirts already in a striped version and sized up for it. But it fit just a little bit bigger than I had wanted, so I got my regular size in this one, and it's perfect.

This skirt: JCrew Factory
Top: Express (option in berry) | Necklace: Express | Heels: Kate Spade (budget option)

Speaking of holidays, how gorgeous is this brocade skirt?! It was such a great price, and I decided to snag it while I could. I had the holidays in mind for this skirt as well, but I'm 99% sure I will be wearing this for a St. Louis Fashion week event, so stay tuned to find out how I style it for that! I'm normally in between number sizes at JCrew Factory (4/6) but I ordered this one in a 6. I usually tend to err on the larger size for skirts so they sit lower on my hips.

These sequin leggings: Express

I have been stalking Express' website until they posted these leggings! I saw a preview of them on Express' Snapchat and have been waiting for them to go live online so I could buy them! I attempted a flat lay of these beauties, but it really didn't do them justice - I needed to share a dressing room photo instead! The sweater was a bit big, but ignore that and just admire the leggings. I am wearing a size small and they fit me just like I wanted them to!

That's all I've got for you! What have you purchased lately?

  1. I'll just take one of everything you bought. I think we need to be neighbors so I can borrow your ridiculously cute clothes. Or maybe just go shopping with you.
