Starting fresh

Guys. How the heck is it August?! I seriously feel like I'm still trying to catch up from the beginning of the year. But nope. It's August now. The start of a new month, and what a better way to start fresh than by sporting this top. It's a super lightweight sweater that I had fallen in love with in the Anniversary Sale catalog. It was sold out in the store when I had my shopping spree, but I was able to order it online after the fact.

Is it too overboard to pair a bright pink bag with with bright pink shoes? I couldn't resist. Florals and bright pinks. That's got to be some magic potion to ensure that August is the best month ever.

Pinks

I love me a good maxi dress. I probably could have gone with a lower heeled shoe - I normally love my maxis to just hover over the floor. But, I was going back and forth on what shoes I should wear with this and finally decided to pick up on the colors of the dress and settled on these pink peep toe pumps. (You can read a little more about them here.) Figured I'd just go all the way with the pinks and grabbed this neon pink clutch on my way out.

Speaking of pinks - this past weekend was our Avon Walk for Breast Cancer. Our required fundraising amount was $5,400, which we thought would be a ginormous feat. That's a lot of money! Guys. We ended up raising over $7,100!! We are beyond humbled and thrilled and thankful! Stay tuned for a dedicated post on the walk festivities!

I woke up like this

There's this little boutique right next door to my Pilates studio. I've been following them on Instagram, and it reminds me a lot of a Francesca's. I've been wanting to go in and take a look around, but it's normally closed just the way the business hours work out compared to my class times. One evening, I was leaving class at 7:30 - they're usually closed by 6 or so - and they were still open! I wandered in and found this tee. 

Apparently these are lyrics to a Beyonce song, Flawless. I had no idea. I liked it because it's ridiculously ironic. Because it takes effort to look like this, sadly. How awesome would it be  to roll out of bed with non-bed head curly hair and accessorized!? Sigh. There should be an app for that.
