Manic Monday: San Antonio weekend recap

Sunnies: Tom Ford | Earrings: Express (option) | Necklaces: Gifted, ℅ My Name Necklace | Bag: Kate Spade (option, option)  | Romper: Topshop | Wedges: Steven by Steve Madden (option)

Happy Monday! Is everyone as excited as I am for this Monday since it's a short week? Everything seems easy breezy as a result of the holiday week. Almost as easy breezy as this romper! I told you Friday that I was in San Antonio for the weekend for my Goddaughter's 1st birthday party. I figured, if you can't wear a romper to a 1-year old party, then really, no occasion is appropriate, amiright?! It was luau themed, so when I came across this floral number, I thought it would be perfect.

I wasn't sure how I wanted to style this thing. I originally thought about grabbing some nude shoes - like my Rockstuds, but well, that's a bit much for a 1-year old party. I thought my chunky grey espadrilles would be better suited for the occasion. For jewelry, call me crazy, but since I was headed home, I felt like going a bit more sentimental and reached for some personalized necklaces instead. I love the look of delicately layered necklaces like in the right Pinspiration above.

It's always great to go home and visit family and friends. As much as I love St. Louis (and my Redbirds), San Antonio will always be home for me. Here's a quick photo recap of our long weekend!

  3. OMG I LOVE how you styled the black lace tank! Did you just put a black cami under it? I don't have camo shorts but I do have olive, so I will be stealing your idea, thankyouverymuch. You look fabulous in all of the photos and outfits though. The floral romper is indeed perfection for a 1 y/o, luau themed birthday party! Genius!

  33. What a cute post this is! As a mom, kids bday parties melt my heart immediately, and your Goddaughter is adorable!!! You look pretty great yourself too missy with that beautiful romper. I am crazy for rompers, and just love layered delicate necklaces. This is a look I would wear head to toe. <3 How wonderful you got to spend some time with your friends. I am visiting back home and seeing my friends from school years right now as well, and totally agree with your sentiment; best friendships just take off as you've never left. Have a wonderful new week sweet girl, XOXO, Elif

I found a cute solid fuschia one in Express last week that I liked, but I'm trying not to shop this month so I didn't but it yet. I think you styled yours perfectly!
