The soft pant and Nordstrom Anniversary Sale

Sunnies: Vince Camuto | Bag: Marc by Marc Jacobs | Top: Like Mynded (option, option)  | Bottoms: Express (option, option)  | Sandals: Alex Marie (option, option)

Ever since I first wore these pants here, I've been really looking forward to wearing them again. I see so many great ways these are styled, but when it comes down to me styling them myself, it always seems like a difficult task. This post I stumbled across on Pinterest had great inspiration. This was my favorite:

This was the original look I was going for when styling my outfit today, but nothing I had looked as good as Olivia's outfit. I finally decided to try this floral muscle tee, which is no stranger to my blog. It ended up being the perfect balance of sporty and girly, which is just what I wanted.

Yes, I posted this on Instagram, and yes, Nordstrom "liked" it.

OK, now let's get to the more important part, shall we? How excited are you guys for, not just any, but THE anniversary sale? I feel like it's the prom of the shopping season. I had been stalking my mail all last week when I started hearing about people getting their catalog. I literally let out an audible squeal when mine finally arrived.

I've been saving up my Nordstrom notes ALL YEAR, so I'm extra excited to see what kind of sales I can score. It's so bitter sweet this year though because my Nordstrom SA relocated out of state! We're trying to see how we can make it work so we're able to shop together this year, but in the meantime, I've went ahead and started making my list. I literally took pics of my wish list while I was looking at the catalog on the plane last weekend!

Marc Jacobs colorblock tote: $352.90, After sale $528
Pedro Garcia shoes: $349.90, After sale $525
Vince Camuto Textured Knit Midi Dress $98.90, After sale $148

Halogen floral print sweater: $57.90, After sale $88
Sam Edelman shoes: $99.90, After sale $159.95
Vince Camuto soft two-tone bag: $165.90, After sale $248

Mystery shoes! They're not described anywhere in the catalog, so I'm not even sure if they're actually part of the sale, but they're worn in several outfits and I loooove them, probably more than any single thing on my list!

July 10th can't get here soon enough! What is on everyone else's lists? Please share!!

Leopard, white, and cobalt

Sunnies: Vince Camuto | Necklaces: Express [link (option), long (option)] | Top: Express | Bracelets: Random handful from my collection | Bag: Marc by Marc Jacobs (budget option)   | Shorts: American Eagle (option, option)  | Shoes: Alex Marie (option, option)

Since I'm usually posting my outfits of my work day, and not many weekend looks, I wanted to just take a second and share a casual date night/weekend look. I love heels and shorts. I don't do it often, but I always love it when I wear this combination. It makes me happy for summer, warm weather, semi cool nights, and fun! I'm really glad I decided to get this leopard portofino. The last time you guys saw it was a bit more casual here. Which reminds me, I need to take those metallic oxfords out for another spin...

Manic Monday: St. Patrick's Day

Sunnies: Gucci | Necklace: Express | Top: Express (similar color called "Glam Green") | Ring: Gifted | Bracelets: Stella and Dot 1 (link) and 2 (spike cluster), Gorjana | Pants: Wayf (sold out) option here and similar look without sequins here | Sandals: Alex Marie (similar) | Polish: OPI My Favorite Ornament

Happy Manic Monday and St. Patrick's Day! The husband's best friend's birthday happens to fall on St. Patrick's Day, so we always end up celebrating that Saturday. St. Louis has a pretty big parade and celebration downtown, so we usually hang out there for a couple hours in the afternoon and then head to an Irish pub of some sort for corned beef and cabbage and more adult beverages.

I bought these sequin track pants at the very beginning of the year - basically one of my first purchases in 2014. Pretty sure they were meant for holiday wear because right after the holidays, the price plummeted on these, and I was able to score them for $30 or something awesome like that. How can you say no to sequin pants for such a great price? Yes, clearly it takes a special person and a special occasion to wear these pants. I have a lot of liberty to wear what I'd like to work, but I don't think I could quite bring myself to be *this* obnoxious at work. For St. Patrick's Day though? Hells yeah.

The weather was ridiculously perfect, so I was able to go around with open toes. I'll admit that since we were going to be on our feet and walking a lot for the parade, I was in my new Isola sandals for the day then switched to the heeled sandals for evening. So much fun, and even better when I'm not even hungover the following morning.

How do you celebrate?
