Tile print scuba dress

Speaking of shopping with Jenna, I found this dress while we were shopping last weekend. We are going to a wedding in DC this coming weekend, so I was on a hunt for a dress. I tried this one on and fell in love with the fit and printed scuba material. While I didn't end up choosing it for the wedding itself, I could not pass it up for 40% off.

Sunnies: Tom Ford | Necklace: Kate Spade | Jacket: Kenneth Cole (option) | Dress: Taylor Dresses | Bracelets: Express | Heels: Saint Laurent

Today I am in Rochester, NY for an overnight trip. Yeah, that sounds cold to me, too. I was on the phone with someone from Buffalo yesterday. The conversation went something like this:

Him: Buffalo is supposed to get 1-2 feet of snow tomorrow.
Me: Oh no! I'm going to Rochester tomorrow!
Him: Rochester is only supposed to get 6-8 inches.
Me: Only!?

Please send me on-time flight vibes!

Manic Monday: Never gets old

Welcome to another Manic Monday! First of all, I just wanted to say a big THANK YOU to everyone who linked up with us last week! We reached our all time high, and we are both so humbled and grateful for your support and participation! It's so exciting to see our little link-up grow!

Second of all, if you read my post from the weekend, you'll see I didn't get to make it to San Antonio after all. I'm pretty bummed about it - it was my Goddaughter's baby dedication I was supposed to attend. I was battling strep, and I'm at least happy to say that 3 days of antibiotics have done a lot of good, and I'm feeling night and day different. Definitely don't want to overdo it though, so I'll keep this short!

I originally bought this jacket after seeing it on one of my favorite bloggers, Jenny over at Crazy Style Love. You can see a couple ways she styled it here and here. Little did I know, this jacket would end up being one of the most worn pieces in my closet room! It just never gets old! I love how stripes can add immediate interest, but still be able to act as a neutral. I hope that if I ever inspire you to buy anything of mine that it also never gets old to you!

Pinspiration: Mustard, coral, plaid, leopard

I feel like I haven't done an actual Pinspiration post in awhile, so here you go! I fell in love with this color combo the second I saw it and pinned it without even thinking! I decided to put the leopard on my feet instead of on my shoulder. I can honestly say that I never pattern mixed before blogging. So much inspiration out there, it's hard not to pull from it and experiment for yourself! It's an added bonus when you actually do love it! And I do!

Cardigan: Banana Republic (option, option)  | Top: JCrew Factory (option) | Tank: Hanes | Scarf: Anthropologie | Bracelet: Stella and Dot | Watch: Kate Spade (option) | Jeans: Express Rerock (option) | Smoking flats: Kenneth Cole Reaction (option, option)

I was feeling so excited for spring this weekend because we *almost* hit 60-degrees. It was amazing! Even 40-degrees felt so warm after the crazy cold temps we'd be feeling. Of course it was very short lived. The high yesterday was 13, and the high today is 20. Thinking I may ditch these flats for my leopard booties instead…

Brighten up winter

Coat: Kenneth Cole (similar) | Scarf: Old Navy (option) | Necklace: Stella and Dot (option) | Top: Annie Griffin (option, option) | Skinnies: Forever 21 (similar) | Boots: Coach | Watch: Kate Spade | Bracelet: Stella and Dot

You guys. You have no idea how excited I was to be able to walk out in the middle of the street! Oh, the little things. Road conditions were so much better today; so much so that UPS finally delivered packages after a 3 day hiatus!  It was like Christmas coming home to a doorstep O goodies!

I decided to wear this top today because I needed to bring a little brightness to our ridiculous winter weather. I bought it a couple of months ago in Atlanta, and it's quite perfect! I'm bummed because my cousin in law saw this picture I posted on Instagram, and said that she loved the color combo with the wine skinnies! The picture made my pants look wine. As you can see, they're just dark denim. But I was bummed because wine skinnies would have been genius with this outfit! Next time, next time.

The last time I wore this coat was back when we got our first snow. It's the best coat to brighten up your mood, that's for sure. A co-worker said it looked "sharp." Yep, sharp. I do concur.

Are you all caught up with everyone over at the last installment of the Holiday Style series? If not - check it out here. I'm proud to say that I've upheld two of my new year's resolutions so far - my nails are painted a pretty midnight blue right now AND I registered for my first Pilates class on Saturday! SO excited! And for all you bloggers - don't forget, Manic Monday starts… well, Monday! So be sure to link up!

The first snow

Coat: Kenneth Cole (similar) | Sunnies: Oakley | Scarf: Express (40% off!) | Vest: Vince Camuto (option, option, darker wash) | Dress: Express (option but limited sizes)  | Tights: Hue (in Espresso) | Boots: Frye (in Redwood)

We got our first snow of the season this week, and as you can see, it wasn't a crazy amount of inches, however, I think ice was more the issue than anything. We tend to have more ice than snow here, I feel like, and if I had to pick one over the other, I'd take snow over ice any day! I do love the first snow though, before it gets all brown and dirty! We're supposed to get more tomorrow, so bring it! I actually love snow throughout the holidays, but come January 2nd, I'm over it!

Decided to dress in layers today because it seriously hurts to be outside right now. Slips are a necessity in the winter to keep your dresses from clinging to tights. I have this one in all 3 colors and then a second one in black. (Yes, that's my review you see on the website - I really can't live without it!) The vest adds warmth without the bulk. The scarf adds some fun - plus I love seeing it peeking out from under my cobalt coat! The coat is just gorgeous, I bought it much like I do many other coats - on crazy sale towards the end of last season.

Hope you guys are staying warm!! Oh, and if you haven't checked out each and every blogger that linked up with us for our Holiday Style Linkup this past Monday - you can see everyone here! The second theme of the series goes live this coming Monday, so be sure to check back for more inspiration!
